Professionally Personal is a blog site that gives individuals of color a place to find solidarity and gain new insights into their own experiences as they navigate the realm of Corporate America.
Have you ever had a good interaction with a coworker but later on received a nasty email about the conversation or, even worse, heard a lie centered around the interaction? When you thought back on the conversation, were you left to ponder the situation without resolution? Well, Professionally Personal is here to bring those experiences to light and touch on how to move forward from there. We share our experiences in glorious hindsight so you will be prepared for what’s to come in the professional world.
Contributors write about personal experiences that have affected their careers and the lessons they’ve learned as they climbed up the corporate “ladder”. This site will cover widely known and discussed topics, such as microaggressions, workplace friendships, and tough interactions; while also giving rise to a new phenomena that will help other POCs to thrive as they assimilate into Corporate America.
